About the Role

The Manufacturing, Testing and Qualification function within the Asset Management Business of Altrad UK, Ireland & Nordics provides consultancy services to the Oil and Gas, Process, Nuclear and Renewables sectors. Within this function, we have an opportunity for a Senior Test and Equipment Qualification Project Engineer to join us in a dynamic and challenging role.

Key Responsibilities
  • Project manage and lead large-scale Equipment Qualification (EQ) test programs, including financial and technical governance, while analyzing data generated from EQ tests.
  • Write reports and technical documents, and provide specifications for instrumentation and data acquisition test set-ups to meet client test program requirements.
  • Be responsible for all aspects of pre-contract negotiations, including client liaison, interpretation of client requirements, and preparation of winning tenders to meet our clients' needs.
  • Design and calculate bespoke test rigs required to carry out department contracts, and lead on all internal stakeholder engagement required to successfully complete our contracts.
  • Specify instrumentation and data acquisition test set-ups, and have a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application within a component test environment.
Requirements
  • Hold a relevant Engineering degree and considerable transferrable experience, ideally in structural qualification of components within a relevant sector.
  • Have instrumentation and data acquisition experience, and a thorough understanding of mechanical engineering principles and their application within a component test environment.
  • Be comfortable working in a fast-paced environment and have excellent communication and project management skills.
