About the Role

The Access Officer will be responsible for coordinating and running a strand of the Access Team's programme of centrally-run projects as part of UCL Eastman Dental Institute's widening participation strategy and Access and Participation Plan. The programme aims to engage highly able prospective students from underrepresented groups, teachers, and HE advisers in various activities.

Key Responsibilities

  • Organize and run online and in-person events, including taster and information and guidance events, Year 12 Summer Schools, school visits, and working with student ambassadors.
  • Develop and implement project plans, ensuring effective project management and coordination.
  • Collaborate with the Access Team to achieve programme objectives and contribute to the development of the Access and Participation Plan.
  • Work closely with secondary schools and children or young people to promote widening participation in Higher Education.
  • Manage and prioritize a high volume of complex work effectively, ensuring timely delivery of projects and events.

About You

The successful applicant will need to be able to work effectively in a large team, have an enthusiasm for widening participation in Higher Education, and experience of working with secondary schools and children or young people. We are looking for someone who can demonstrate their experience of coordinating projects and events, and their ability to manage their own workload and prioritize tasks effectively.
