Job Title: Composite Design Engineer

Job Summary:

We are seeking an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join our team at Owen Daniels. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree/HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering (or equivalent experience).
  • Demonstrated expertise in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practices.
  • Proficiency in CAD systems.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews (approximately 2-3 times per year).
