About the Role: As a Composite Design Engineer, you will be responsible for designing aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software. You will produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs and work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers' requirements are met.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and develop composite structures and products using 3D CAD software.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings and specifications to define designs.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met.
  • Develop and implement certification and qualification plans.

Requirements:

  • Education to degree or HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering.
  • Experience in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD systems.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews.
