Composite Design Engineer

We are seeking an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join our team at a leading Aerospace manufacturer. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Design and develop aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software.
  • Produce detailed engineering drawings to define designs and ensure compliance with industry standards.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure customer requirements are met and projects are delivered on time.
  • Create certification and qualification plans, including QTPs and QTRs, to ensure regulatory compliance.
Requirements:
  • Education to degree or HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering is preferred but not essential.
  • Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials.
  • Familiarity with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice.
  • Proficient in the use of CAD systems and able to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Excellent communication, report writing, and presentation skills.
  • Ability to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary.
