Composite Design Engineer

Job Summary

We are seeking an experienced Composite Design Engineer to join our team at Owen Daniels Consultancy. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in the design and certification of composite structures or products within a highly regulated industry.

Key Responsibilities

* Design aerospace composite and hybrid structures using 3D CAD software
* Work as part of an integrated project team to ensure customers' requirements are met

Requirements

* Education to degree/HND level in mechanical or aerospace engineering (preferable but not essential)
* Demonstration of competence in the design of fibre reinforced composite materials
* Familiarity with aerospace or similar industry composite design methodologies and best practice
* Proficiency in the use of CAD systems
* Good communication, report writing and presentation skills
* Willingness to travel to sites in the UK for design reviews when necessary (likely to be 2-3 times per year)
