Job Title: Business and Finance Director

We are seeking a highly skilled Business and Finance Director to join our team at Eggtooth. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for ensuring the financial stability and growth of our organization.

Main Responsibilities:
  • Oversee the financial operations of Eggtooth, including budgeting, forecasting, and financial reporting.
  • Develop and implement financial strategies to drive business growth and profitability.
  • Manage and maintain accurate financial records, including accounts payable, accounts receivable, and payroll.
  • Prepare and present financial reports to the leadership team and Board of Directors.
  • Collaborate with the leadership team to develop and implement business plans and strategies.
  • Ensure compliance with all financial regulations and laws.
Key Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in financial management and leadership.
  • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting, and financial reporting.
  • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Person Specification:
  • Essential:
    • Proven experience of working in a hands-on Finance Manager role.
    • Strong knowledge of financial management principles, budgeting and financial reporting.
    • Proficient in using accounting software and MS Office (particularly Excel).
    • Experience in managing multiple, diverse income streams.
    • Demonstrated experience in managing financial systems, processes and controls.
    • Ability to work flexibly.
  • Desirable:
    • Part or fully qualified accountant/bookkeeper within ACA/ACCA, AAT or QBE or demonstrable equivalent experience.
    • Experience and or knowledge of the voluntary, third sector or charity sector and its financial culture.
    • Experience of supporting an organisation at a time of growth and transition.
