About the role
We are seeking a motivated CASS associate to join our Finance team. Responsibility will include collating the daily regulatory client money computations as well as completing the monthly CMAR and regular CASS RP reviews. It is expected that individual will be able to drive forward projects and take responsibility for identifying and making improvements to current process. The small team allows the opportunity for recognition and to really make a difference.
Responsibilities
Complete the daily client money and asset reconciliations including:
- Collect data provided by the support services
- Ensure timely production of daily reconciliations
- Challenge and investigate any anomalies
- Request the daily cash transfer
Moreover, your tasks will include the following:
- Update daily client money management information
- Preparing regulatory client money submissions on FCA Reg Data system
- Liaising with external/internal Auditors
- Maintain procedure documents
- Review and challenge stock and cash reconciliation breaks
- Maintain the firm's CASS RP
- You will be involved in any CASS projects undertaken internally and moreover you will be involved in the review of the firms CASS Risk and Control matrix
Your profile
You have proven knowledge of client money regulatory requirements. We imagine that you have 3 years practical CASS 6 and 7 experience. An understanding of financial products e.g. FX, CFDs and Equities would be an advantage.
We are looking for you who has excellent attention to detail and is able to work to tight deadlines, has great interpersonal and communication skills. Moreover, you are self-motivated and has the ability to work at a consistently high standard and use your own initiative effectively and when appropriate.
Moreover, you have great Excel-skills including proficiency with complex formula and pivot tables. And you are proactive and problem-solving approach with a mindset to understand and then challenge the status quo.
