Lead CASS Risk Manager Role

The Bank of New York Mellon Corporation seeks a seasoned professional to fill the position of Lead CASS Risk Manager in our Markets team, based in London. This critical role plays a vital part in ensuring the effective management and oversight of Client Asset Protection (CASS) risks across our global business operations.

Salary Information

This senior-level position offers an attractive salary range of £120,000 - £180,000 per annum, commensurate with experience and qualifications.

Key Responsibilities
  • CASS Applicability Assessment: Conduct thorough assessments and evaluations of CASS applicability for Markets products and services, ensuring full compliance with regulatory requirements.
  • Risk Management and Control: Develop and maintain effective controls to mitigate CASS risks, aligning with our Corporate Risk Framework and RCSA/CMF platforms.
  • Oversight and Governance: Lead the Markets CASS control testing program, identify areas for improvement, and implement remediation actions as needed.
  • Change Management and Compliance: Ensure that product and process changes align with CASS and CAP rules, GAS policy, and corporate risk frameworks.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with Embedded Control functions to ensure alignment of CMF and RCSA controls and maintain accurate resolution packs.
  • Performance Management and Succession Planning: Set client asset objectives, assess performance, and develop effective succession plans to mitigate key person dependencies.
Required Skills and Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you will need:

  • Detailed understanding of FCA CASS rules and client asset objectives.
  • Product/operational knowledge of Markets products.
  • Ability to apply a legal entity view regarding CASS rule applications.
  • Familiarity with corporate risk frameworks from an RCSA/CMF perspective.
  • Excellent leadership and communication skills to drive improvements in the CASS control framework.
