About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled Maintenance Manager to join our team at Fox's Burton's Companies. As a key member of our operations team, you will be responsible for ensuring the efficient and effective maintenance of our manufacturing facilities.

Main Responsibilities
  • Leadership and Management: Provide leadership and guidance to the maintenance team, ensuring that they have the necessary skills and resources to perform their duties effectively.
  • Maintenance Planning and Scheduling: Develop and implement maintenance plans and schedules to minimize downtime and maximize productivity.
  • Asset Management: Oversee the maintenance and repair of all plant and equipment, ensuring that they are in good working order and meet the required safety and quality standards.
  • Problem-Solving and Root Cause Analysis: Investigate and resolve maintenance-related issues, identifying root causes and implementing corrective actions to prevent recurrence.
  • Collaboration and Communication: Work closely with production, engineering, and other departments to ensure that maintenance activities are aligned with business objectives and that all stakeholders are informed and engaged.
  • Continuous Improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements and implement changes to enhance maintenance efficiency, reduce costs, and improve overall performance.
Requirements
  • Education and Experience: A recognized apprenticeship in an engineering discipline (preferably FMCG) and a minimum of HNC level is required. Understanding of automation in a manufacturing environment and mechanical and electrical fault-finding techniques is essential.
  • Skills and Knowledge: Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to motivate and develop a team. Excellent communication and problem-solving skills, with the ability to work collaboratively with others. Basic understanding of CI procedures and techniques, as well as knowledge of LEAN techniques (kaizen, 5s, 6 Sigma, RCA, 5 whys, etc.).
  • Personal Qualities: A strong work ethic, with a commitment to delivering high-quality results. Ability to work under pressure and prioritize tasks effectively. Good knowledge of electrical engineering procedures, such as LOTO, and a basic understanding of BRC policies and procedures.
