About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated individual to join our rhino team as a Keeper. As a key member of our professional team, you will be responsible for ensuring the highest levels of animal husbandry, care, and welfare for a variety of species, including rhinos, deer, antelopes, and zebras.

Key Responsibilities
  • Ensure the highest standards of animal care and welfare, including providing specialized diets and maintaining clean and safe enclosures.
  • Work independently and as part of a highly motivated team to achieve our conservation goals.
  • Assist with animal training, handling, and veterinary procedures, including administering medication and providing after-care.
  • Deliver memorable and informative guest experiences, promoting our conservation mission and values.

Requirements
  • A HND or degree-level qualification in a zoological-related science or equivalent experience.
  • Proven experience in the care and management of hoof stock species in a zoo or safari park setting.
  • Outstanding observational skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience creating appropriate environments for animals and working within strict Safe Working Practices.
Desirable Qualifications
  • Experience delivering animal experiences and working with rhinos or category one species.
  • Competency in the use of computers and basic software packages, including ZIMS software.
