About the Role
We are seeking a highly skilled Specialist Podiatrist to join our multidisciplinary team at the Countess of Chester Hospital. As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will play a key role in providing specialist podiatry treatment to patients with diabetes and complex vascular wounds within an acute secondary care setting.
Main Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive specialist assessment, diagnosis, planning, treatment, and implementation of podiatric care, including wound management and pressure offloading to maintain patients' mobility and independence.
- Work as part of a multidisciplinary team to develop care pathways and new ways of working, utilizing a full range of routine and specialist podiatric techniques.
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to improve foot care for patients, including those with diabetes and complex vascular wounds.
Working with Our Team
As a Specialist Podiatrist, you will be part of a dynamic team that is committed to delivering high-quality patient care. You will work closely with other healthcare professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients, and contribute to the development of new care pathways and initiatives.
Requirements
- Registered with the Health and Care Professions Council (HCPC) as a Podiatrist.
- Experience of working in a multidisciplinary team and providing specialist podiatry treatment to patients with diabetes and complex vascular wounds.
- Ability to work autonomously and as part of a team, with excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
