About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Wellbeing Practitioner to join our Mental Health Support Team (MHST) at NELFT NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in delivering high-quality mental health services to children and young people in our community.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver evidence-based interventions to children and young people with mild to moderate mental health difficulties.
  • Work collaboratively with schools, colleges, and other stakeholders to provide a comprehensive mental health service.
  • Conduct assessments, risk assessments, and care plans to ensure the best possible outcomes for our service users.
  • Provide leadership and support to the MHST team, promoting a culture of excellence and continuous improvement.
  • Develop and maintain strong relationships with local partners, including schools, colleges, and other healthcare providers.
Requirements
  • Graduate qualification in a relevant field (e.g., nursing, social work, occupational therapy).
  • Registration with the relevant professional body (e.g., HCPC, NMC).
  • Substantial post-qualified experience working with children and young people with mental health difficulties.
  • Ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, and their families.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
