Job Title: Head of IT and Cybersecurity

We are seeking an experienced and skilled Head of IT and Cybersecurity to join our team at CPW. As a key member of our leadership team, you will be responsible for leading our IT and Cybersecurity functions, ensuring the delivery of high-quality IT services and the protection of our business from cyber threats.

About the Role

The Head of IT and Cybersecurity will be responsible for:

  • Leading the IT team, including the IT Manager and IT Support staff
  • Developing and implementing the overall IT strategy, including the introduction of AI
  • Managing the IT budget, reviewing spend and identifying opportunities to reduce costs
  • Tendering for IT equipment, contracts, and software
  • Developing and implementing IT policies and procedures
  • Providing training and coaching to the IT team and wider business
  • Streamlining the IT offering to ensure cohesion across all offices
  • Liaising with the business to understand IT requirements
  • Monitoring the helpdesk operation and ensuring prompt resolution of helpdesk tickets
  • Joining the disaster recovery team and leading the IT response
  • Producing and collating IT reports as required
  • Overseeing the overall management of cyber security, ensuring sufficient protection is in place
  • Researching, developing, and project managing new software and hardware for business needs
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • A degree in an IT-related qualification or equivalent
  • Preferably Microsoft 365 certified
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience of managing and implementing an IT function within a business
  • Strong technology experience, a solid understanding of support IT services within a business at a capacity for 200+ employees
  • Good understanding of GDPR and data protection
  • Strong market knowledge and evidence of utilising that knowledge to make changes with an IT function
  • Confidence to work with ambiguity, prioritise effectively, assess and manage risk, and make decisions
