Main Responsibilities

The successful candidate will be responsible for the day-to-day management of clerical and administrative services within the Neurodevelopment and LD services in the West area.

Key duties include:

  • Recruitment and selection of administrative and clerical staff
  • Maintenance of accurate records of staff sickness and management of sickness absence in accordance with Health Board policies
  • Quality control for the production of information and development of administrative procedures
  • Management of waiting lists within the specialty in line with the Health Board's waiting list policies and Welsh Government guidance
  • Assistance with the management of financial resources within the Children & Young People's Division
  • Monitoring of procurement of goods and ordering of supplies on Oracle System
  • Regular reporting on the performance of the service, identifying trends and outcomes and proposed actions to improve performance

Requirements

To be successful in this role, the candidate will need to have:

  • Extensive experience of staff management
  • Previous experience of managing financial resources
  • Sound knowledge of IT systems, including WPAS, PIMS and Myrddin
  • Knowledge of waiting list management
  • Previous experience in producing written reports
  • Previous NHS experience
