About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and compassionate Mental Health Support Worker to join our Integrated Mental Health Team in Lichfield & Burntwood. As a key member of our team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to individuals with mental health needs.

Key Responsibilities

  • Deliver planned recovery-focused care to a defined caseload, working collaboratively with other Trust services to provide seamless care.
  • Work in partnership with agencies external to the Trust to support service-users access to services in the independent and non-statutory sector.
  • Deliver agreed therapeutic interventions to assist service users in achieving their recovery goals, including improving activities of daily living, social inclusion, meaningful occupation, accessing employment, mental health promotion, and physical health promotion.
  • Undertake physical health assessments, including weight, height, blood pressure, ECG, and phlebotomy.
  • Contribute to planning and delivering planned therapeutic activities with an identified group of service users as part of the care programme approach.

Requirements

  • Advanced Apprenticeship in (Mental) Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in (Mental) Health and Social Care with demonstrable evidence of numeracy and literacy skills (equivalent GCSEs or functional skills).
  • Experience of working with people with Mental Health Needs non-Dementia related.
  • Strong team-working skills, a high level of self-motivation, and a flexible approach.
  • A positive attitude, being naturally caring and compassionate, and a commitment to high-quality care and values and evidence-based practice.
