About the Role

We are seeking a skilled and motivated Community Mental Health Support Worker to join our Integrated Mental Health Team in Lichfield & Burntwood.

Main Responsibilities
  • Provide planned recovery-focused care to individuals with mental health needs
  • Work collaboratively with other Trust services to provide seamless care
  • Develop and maintain relationships with external agencies to support service users access to services
  • Deliver agreed therapeutic interventions to assist service users achieve their recovery goals
  • Undertake physical health assessments, including weight, height, blood pressure, ECG, and phlebotomy
  • Contribute to the planning and delivery of therapeutic activities with service users

Person Specification

Essential:

  • Advanced Apprenticeship in (Mental) Health and Social Care or NVQ Level 3 in (Mental) Health and Social Care with demonstrable evidence of numeracy and literacy skills
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs
  • Strong team-working skills
  • High level of self-motivation and flexibility
  • Positive attitude and natural caring and compassionate nature
  • Commitment to high-quality care and values-based practice

Desirable:

  • Phlebotomy qualification
  • Experience of working with people with mental health needs as a member of a multi-disciplinary community team
  • Experience of co-facilitating group-based interventions
