SEN Teaching Assistant

Job Description:
This role involves supporting the needs of students with learning difficulties or disabilities at a primary school in Woolwich, South East London. The successful candidate will be responsible for working alongside teachers and other support staff to provide individualized support to help students achieve their full potential.
Main Responsibilities:
- Provide tailored support to students with special educational needs to ensure they access the curriculum and participate fully in lessons
- Work collaboratively with teaching staff to develop and deliver lesson plans that cater to the diverse needs of students
- Maintain accurate records of student progress and provide regular feedback to teachers and parents
- Offer pastoral care and emotional support to students as needed
- Contribute to the development of resources and materials to support student learning
Essential Qualifications:
- Degree from a reputable university (2:1 or 1:1)
- Proven experience working with students with SEN/SEMH/SEND
- Commitment to delivering high-quality education and support to students with learning difficulties
- Strong communication and teamwork skills
- Ability to work flexibly and maintain a high level of organization
Salary Range: £28,000 - £35,000 per annum, depending on qualifications and experience.
