Childcare Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Specialist Support Worker to join our dynamic team in County Durham. In this role, you will provide vital support and guidance to young individuals, helping them navigate life transitions and acquire essential life skills.
You will work closely with our team to ensure the well-being and success of our service users. This includes developing crucial life skills such as budgeting, cooking, accessing education, and training opportunities.
The estimated salary for this position is £12.38 per hour.
Job Description:
As a Specialist Support Worker, you will be responsible for providing personalized supervision and support to empower young people to live safely and independently. You will also assist in developing crucial life skills such as budgeting, cooking, accessing education, and training opportunities.

Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need a minimum Level 3 qualification in Health & Social Care (Children) or equivalent (or willingness to work towards it). Previous experience working with children, youth offending, care leavers, or substance/alcohol misuse is preferred. Flexibility to work shifts, including evenings, weekends, bank holidays, and some nights is also required.
