About the Role

We are seeking a highly motivated and skilled individual to join our team as a Quantum Computing Researcher. As a member of our team, you will contribute to the design, development, and optimization of ion trap quantum computing systems.

Key Responsibilities
  • Design and develop ion trap quantum computing systems
  • Contribute to software and experimental control systems
  • Communicate progress and discuss results with team members
  • Represent the team at internal and external events
Requirements
  • Achieved or be on course to achieve a minimum 2:1 degree in a relevant field of study
  • Have the right to live and work in the UK at time of starting employment
  • Demonstrable interest in quantum science and technology
  • Experience in working in a laboratory, particularly with optics, lasers, or high-voltage supplies
  • Good written and oral communication skills
  • Experience working in a team and able to demonstrate autonomy within their area of responsibility
  • Experience in programming in Python or similar languages
