About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Marketing Strategist to join our team at Pretty Pragmatic. As a key member of our marketing team, you will be responsible for providing strategic direction to our clients, advising on communications plans, discovering insights for new marketing opportunities, and delivering outstanding results from the activity you oversee.

Key Responsibilities
  • Developing Strategic Plans: Develop and implement comprehensive marketing strategies that align with our clients' business objectives.
  • Providing Strategic Direction: Provide strategic guidance to our clients on communications plans, marketing campaigns, and digital projects.
  • Presenting Campaign Ideas: Present campaign ideas and strategic plans to senior clients and stakeholders.
  • Planning and Executing Campaigns: Plan and execute highly impactful ad campaigns on social and search channels, including ongoing optimization and incremental updates to maximize campaign effectiveness.
  • Briefing and Working with the Creative Team: Brief and work closely with our creative team on content and campaign development to create great creative outputs.
  • Using Data to Inform Marketing Opportunities: Use data from tools such as Google Analytics and SEMRush to provide insights and inform marketing opportunities and future activity.
  • Creating Marketing and Content Calendars: Create marketing and content calendars and plans for clients utilizing industry best practices to assist clients in reaching their strategic and commercial objectives.
  • Budget Planning and Management: Plan, monitor, and manage budgets for agency projects and media campaigns.
  • Reporting and Providing Strategic Recommendations: Report and provide strategic recommendations that can improve business performance – be it quick wins or long-term game-changing campaigns.
Requirements
  • Experience: You will have sufficient levels of experience either within an in-house marketing role covering a breadth of digital activity – from content plans and campaign development through to paid search, social, and SEO – or a hands-on marketing strategist working agency-side who's used to dealing with a range of digital channels.
  • Skills: You will have a strong understanding of digital marketing channels, including social media, search engine optimization, and paid advertising. You will also have excellent communication and presentation skills, with the ability to present complex ideas in a clear and concise manner.
  • Personal Qualities: You will be a hands-on, inquisitive, and curious individual who is passionate about marketing and committed to delivering outstanding results. You will also be a confident presenter, a friendly thinker, and a keen learner who is always looking to improve and develop your skills.
