Pension Payroll Specialist Job Description

We are looking for a highly skilled Pension Payroll Specialist to join our Pensions Administration Department. As a key member of the team, you will provide pensioner payroll services to deliver an efficient and effective service to our clients and their pensioners.

The successful candidate will have strong accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent maths skills and intermediate Excel skills. You will be well-organized, able to work well as part of a team, and on your own initiative. A hands-on, positive 'can-do' attitude is essential.

This role offers a competitive salary of £27,000 - £31,000 per annum, depending on experience. About the Role:

  • Manage the pensioner payroll process for our clients' payrolls in accordance with established procedures.
  • Process payroll changes on the work management system according to agreed procedures and timescales.
  • Reconcile payroll costs and changes against our Pensions Administration database.
  • Ensure timely payment to pensioners, HMRC, and other third-party bodies, adhering to agreed controls.
  • Provide guidance and assistance to our Pensions Administration Teams on payroll-related matters.
  • Issue payslips to pensioners within agreed timescales, ensuring they are sent to the confirmed and up-to-date address.

Key Requirements:

  • Experience in payroll administration, preferably in pensions.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent maths skills and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Well-organized and able to work effectively in a team.
  • Positive attitude and commitment to delivering high-quality results.
