Lane Clark & Peacock LLP is seeking a Part-Time Pensions Payroll Specialist to join our team. As a key member of the Pensions Administration Department, you will play a crucial role in delivering exceptional pensioner payroll services to our clients and their pensioners.

The successful candidate will have strong accuracy and attention to detail, with excellent maths skills and intermediate Excel skills. You will be well-organised, professional at all times, and have a hands-on, positive attitude.

Job Description:

  • Assist in preparing and managing the pensioner payroll process for our clients' payrolls in line with our procedures.
  • Record payroll changes correctly on the work management system and process them according to agreed procedures and timescales.
  • Reconcile payroll costs and changes against our Pensions Administration database.
  • Ensure PAYE deductions are made and paid within statutory deadlines.
  • Produce and distribute annual P60s.
  • Make payments to pensioners, HMRC, and other third-party bodies on a timely basis and within agreed controls.
  • Answer queries from pensioners, colleagues, partners, and clients in an accurate and timely manner.
  • Ensure compliance with agreed payroll deadlines and keep the payroll calendar up to date.
  • Support the Pensions Payroll Team on payroll and team matters.
  • Maintain payroll and ancillary systems.
  • Advise and assist our Pensions Administration Teams on any payroll matters.
  • Issue payslips to pensioners within agreed timescales and ensure they are sent to the confirmed and up-to-date address.

Requirements:

  • Previous office experience, particularly in payroll.
  • Around £25,000 - £30,000 per annum.
  • Strong accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent maths skills and intermediate Excel skills.
  • Well-organised, professional at all times.
  • Hands-on, positive attitude.
