We are seeking two experienced Clinical/Counselling Psychologists to join our District Nursing teams in Barking and Dagenham. As a key member of our team, you will provide specialist psychological assessments, interventions, and education to patients with physical health conditions.

The successful candidates will have a strong background in clinical or counselling psychology, with a focus on delivering high-quality patient care.

A salary of £43,042 - £70,305 per annum is offered, depending on experience.

Main Responsibilities
  1. To conduct comprehensive psychological assessments of patients referred to the District Nursing service, utilising a bio-psychosocial model and incorporating complex data from various sources.
  2. To develop and implement treatment plans for patients' cognitive, emotional, behavioural, physical, and psychological health needs.
  3. To deliver psycho-education, brief family interventions, and carer support in patients' homes, promoting positive coping strategies and improved quality of life.
Person Specification
  • Doctorate-level training in clinical or counselling psychology or equivalent accreditation by the BPS.
  • Registration with the HCPC as a Practitioner Psychologist.
  • Additional specialist training in advanced therapy skills such as CBT, Motivational Interviewing.
