Job Title: District Nursing Team Support Worker

We are seeking a skilled and dedicated Community Healthcare Support Worker to join our team on a temporary basis. This role offers an exciting opportunity to work closely with our District Nursing Team, providing high-quality care and support to patients in their communities.

About the Role

This is a challenging yet rewarding position that requires strong communication and interpersonal skills. As a District Nursing Team Support Worker, you will be responsible for carrying out clinical duties, including venepuncture, blood pressure monitoring, and wound dressing. You will also liaise with other healthcare professionals and multi-agency workers to provide a comprehensive approach to patient care.

Key Responsibilities
  • Carry out clinical tasks as directed by the District Nurse Team Leader or Community Staff Nurse.
  • Liaise with healthcare professionals and multi-agency workers to provide a coordinated approach to patient care.
  • Meet with the District Nurse Team Leader or Community Staff Nurse to discuss patient care and collect allocated worklists.
  • Demonstrate, teach, and supervise simple procedures to patients and carers, with approval from the District Nurse Team Leader or Community Staff Nurse.
Requirements
  • GCSE grade A – C in English or Maths.
  • Commitment to providing high-quality, professional care to all patients.
