About the Role

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Echocardiography Training Lead to join our team at Lancashire Teaching Hospitals NHS Foundation Trust. As a key member of our Cardio-Respiratory Department, you will be responsible for leading and mentoring colleagues in the development of our Echocardiography Service.

Key Responsibilities
  • Manage, coordinate, and direct the training pathway for Echocardiography Service staff, ensuring they meet the required standards for BSE accreditation.
  • Perform and report adult transthoracic echocardiograms, as well as contribute to other clinical measurement services as required.
  • Assist in the day-to-day running of the service, performing a wide range of investigations and providing advice and reports to clinicians.
  • Lead and mentor colleagues in the development of their skills and knowledge, ensuring they are equipped to provide high-quality patient care.
  • Collaborate with Consultant Cardiologists to ensure the delivery of high-quality patient care and the development of our Echocardiography Service.
Requirements
  • Appropriate Science Degree (or equivalent)
  • ILS (minimum)
  • BTEC/HTEC (MPPM) or equivalent
  • BSE adult accreditation
  • Registered member on the Council of Clinical Physiologists
