Vessel Operations Chief Technician

\rWe seek a skilled Ship's 1st Assistant Engineer to join our team at Oregon State University's Ship Operations. As part of our crew, you'll play a critical role in ensuring the safe and efficient operation of our research vessels.
The estimated salary for this position is $105,000 - $140,000 annually, with excellent benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and paid vacation time. Opportunities for overtime pay are also available.
This is a full-time, intermittent position with a variable schedule. You must possess a valid USCG Designated Duty Engineer License (4000 HP or better) and be able to pass a drug test. Three years' experience working on research vessels is highly preferred.

Your responsibilities will include maintaining and repairing complex ship systems, performing routine checks and maintenance tasks, and participating in training exercises.
