Community Support Specialist

Lancaster City Council is seeking a Resident Support Officer to join their team in supporting residents across the district. This role involves administering the Household Support Fund, providing updates on applications, and signposting individuals to other support services. You will work closely with the Customer Services Team to ensure that those in need receive the support they require.
Responsibilities:
- Process awards for eligible applicants
- Support individuals to provide necessary documentation
- Signpost individuals to relevant third-party organizations
- Work out in the community, providing help, advice, and support as needed
Working Environment:
You will be based at Lancaster City Council's office, but may be required to work out in the community as part of your role. You will have access to a range of IT systems and equipment, and will be expected to work independently as well as part of a team.
Salary and Benefits:
The salary for this role is £25,000 - £30,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to your salary, you will receive a range of employee benefits, including a generous annual leave allowance and access to the Local Government Pension Scheme.
