Job Title: Residential Childcare Support Worker

Job Summary: We are seeking a dedicated and compassionate Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our team at Polaris Community. As a key member of our residential team, you will play a vital role in providing high-quality care and support to young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional, and behavioural difficulties.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Provide a safe, secure, and homely environment for young people, promoting their physical, emotional, and psychological well-being.
  • Develop and implement individual care plans, working closely with the young person, their family, and other professionals to ensure their needs are met.
  • Build and maintain positive relationships with young people, their families, and other stakeholders, promoting a culture of trust and respect.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of policies and procedures, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements and organisational standards.
  • Participate in training and professional development opportunities to enhance your skills and knowledge, staying up-to-date with best practices in childcare and youth work.

Requirements:

  • Hold a Diploma Level 3 in Working with Children & Young People or equivalent qualification.
  • Have a full UK driving license and access to a vehicle.
  • Be over 21 years of age.
  • Be able to work flexibly, including evenings, weekends, and bank holidays.
