An exciting opportunity has arisen for a skilled Strategic Defence Contracts Specialist to join Redline Group Ltd, a leading design and manufacturing company specialising in Defence products. This 12-month fixed term contract based in the West Midlands offers the chance to develop commercial input into bids and proposals for issue and presentation to customers.

The successful candidate will be responsible for managing a small commercial team, providing day-to-day commercial and/or contract management on major defence contracts, and supporting the full project lifecycle from request for information to contract closure. Key skills and experience required include evaluating, drafting, negotiating, closing, and managing complex contracts for Defence, as well as contracting with prime defence or highly regulated contractors.

**Key Responsibilities:**

  • Managing a small commercial team and assisting with departmental metrics/reporting, training, and weekly review of commercial actions
  • Providing day-to-day commercial and/or contract management on major defence contracts
  • Supporting the full project lifecycle, including request for information, tendering process, contract award, contract change, contract performance, and contract closure

**Ideal Candidate Profile:**

  • Experience in evaluating, drafting, negotiating, closing, and managing complex contracts for Defence
  • Knowledge of commercial law and contract formation principles, and extensive experience with a broad range of commercial contracts
  • Previous UK MoD security clearance is ideal
