Role Overview
">We are looking for a highly motivated and experienced Research Analyst to join our team at the International Institute for Strategic Studies.
The successful candidate will have a strong background in defence and security affairs, and be able to collect, assess and validate land domain deployment, organisation and equipment data for IISS publications and databases.
Key Responsibilities
">- Collect, assess and validate land domain deployment, organisation and equipment data for IISS publications and databases.
- Conduct research and analysis on ground forces and land warfare issues.
- Develop future areas of specialisation in the organisation and equipment of armed forces and defence technology developments.
Requirements
">- Postgraduate degree in a relevant subject such as strategic studies or military affairs, OR relevant professional experience in the armed forces, defence intelligence, or a background in relevant defence analysis, specialist publications or defence industry.
- Proven research and analysis skills using the full range of open-source information, and ability to disseminate conclusions in written and verbal forms.
- Experience in using or contributing to database products.
- Excellent command of spoken and written English. Additional languages desirable.
What We Offer
">We offer a competitive salary of £35,000 - £40,000 per annum, depending on experience, and a range of benefits including a fixed-term contract with opportunities for professional development.
