Job Overview
Teesside is seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join the Neurodevelopment Assessment Team. This role involves assessing children and young people for ASD traits and collaborating with a multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic outcomes.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to identify language concerns and develop strategies to address them. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This position comes with an estimated salary of £42,000 - £62,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and are registered with HCPC, we encourage you to apply.

About the Role
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and has a passion for speech and language therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health or learning disabilities and be comfortable using prioritization systems. We also welcome applications from those with post-graduate training in specialist areas relevant to the role.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess children and young people to identify language concerns and ASD traits
- Collaborate with the multidisciplinary team to provide diagnostic outcomes
- Develop strategies to address language concerns
- Work closely with the team to achieve shared goals

Requirements
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with HCPC
- Experience working in mental health or learning disabilities
- Post-graduate training in specialist areas relevant to the role (e.g., Intensive Interaction, Talking Mats, Dysphagia, Autism)
- Ability to prioritize tasks effectively
- Strong communication skills
