Role Description
We are seeking an experienced Speech and Language Therapist to join our Neurodevelopment Assessment Team in Teesside. This role involves assessing children and young people for ASD traits and developing strategies to address language concerns.

The successful candidate will work closely with the team to provide diagnostic outcomes and contribute to the development of care plans. This is a challenging yet rewarding role that requires strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team environment.

This position comes with an estimated salary of £48,000 - £68,000 per annum, depending on experience. If you have a degree in Speech and Language Therapy and are registered with HCPC, we encourage you to apply.

About the Team
This role is perfect for someone who enjoys working with children and young people and has a passion for speech and language therapy. The ideal candidate will have experience working in mental health or learning disabilities and be comfortable using prioritization systems. We also welcome applications from those with experience participating in clinical governance activities.

Key Responsibilities
- Assess children and young people to identify language concerns and ASD traits
- Develop strategies to address language concerns
- Work closely with the multidisciplinary team to achieve shared goals
- Contribute to quality improvement activities

Required Skills and Qualifications
- Degree in Speech and Language Therapy
- Registration with HCPC
- Experience working in mental health or learning disabilities
- Post-graduate training in specialist areas relevant to the role (e.g., Intensive Interaction, Talking Mats, Dysphagia, Autism)
