Leadership Opportunity in Mental Health

We are seeking a highly motivated and proactive Charge Nurse to join our team at Serenity Path Hospital. As a key member of our leadership team, you will have the opportunity to play a key role in delivering exceptional patient care to our young people, while also supporting and mentoring junior nursing staff.

The ideal candidate for this role will be a highly motivated and proactive nursing professional, ideally with some experience of working with children and young people, as well as strong leadership and communication skills. Individuals who do not have direct inpatient CAMHS experience but are able to demonstrate significant experience in other transferable areas of mental health or paediatrics are encouraged to apply.

Serenity Path Hospital is undergoing extensive renovations which will see the development of two new services, the first being launched is the exciting new Eating Disorder Day service closely followed by the 10 bed General Adolescent Unit. Both services offer staff a flexible and diverse way of working with our young people, as well as a wealth of development opportunities.

  • Support management of a clinical area including the deployment, supervision, teaching of staff/students and resources.
  • Assess individual care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care as well as setting standards of care across clinical areas.
  • Take responsibility for the management, deployment and supervision of junior staff in clinical area throughout the span of duty.

Person Specification
  • RMN/RNLD/RSCN Sub part 1 of the NMC Register
  • In depth post qualification experience at Band 5 working in mental health
  • Clinical Supervision Training
  • Evidence of Continuing Professional Development
Disclosure and Barring Service Check

Salary: £37,338 to £44,962 a year based on full-time hours.
