As a Charge Nurse at Hampshire and Isle of Wight Healthcare NHS Trust Foundation, you will play a key leadership role in delivering exceptional patient care to our young people, while also supporting and mentoring junior nursing staff. You will act as a role model, support the running of shifts, and co-ordinate nursing duties within the team.

Key Responsibilities
  • Support management of a clinical area including the deployment, supervision, teaching of staff/students and resources.
  • Assess individual care needs and develop, implement and evaluate programmes of care as well as setting standards of care across clinical areas.
  • Take responsibility for the management, deployment and supervision of junior staff in clinical area throughout the span of duty.

This post requires a highly motivated and proactive nursing professional with in-depth post qualification experience at Band 5 working in mental health and clinical supervision training. The ideal candidate will also have strong leadership and communication skills, and be able to demonstrate significant experience in other transferable areas of mental health or paediatrics.
