About the Role

We are seeking a skilled Housing Enabling Officer to join our team in delivering affordable housing solutions for residents in need. As a key member of our community development team, you will work closely with planners, developers, and stakeholders to ensure that the right types of affordable homes are built.

Your primary responsibilities will include negotiating with housing developers, influencing planning decisions, and ensuring that legal agreements are completed and enforced. You will also analyze data to understand district housing needs and advise community groups on delivering community-led housing schemes.

What We Are Looking For
  • A degree-level education or equivalent relevant experience in fields such as housing management, town planning, or development.
  • Excellent communication and analytical skills, with the ability to analyze data, legislation, policies, and drawings.
  • A strong understanding of how places work and the contribution that housing makes to communities, local economies, and individual well-being.
  • The ability to care about the outcomes delivered for residents and contribute to the success of our district councils.
