Lapwing, a specialist therapeutic education provider and charity, is seeking an inspiring Assistant Head of Education to join its Senior Leadership Team in Suffolk.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity for an outstanding teacher with robust knowledge and experience of teaching, assessing, and working with young people with special educational needs. You will be responsible for modelling, shaping, and quality-assuring best practice education delivery while supervising, coaching, and developing colleagues.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver high-quality education programs that meet the needs of students with social, emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties and disabilities.
  • Supervise and develop a team of educators to ensure excellent student outcomes.
  • Model best practices and creative approaches to teaching and learning.
About Lapwing

Lapwing works with young people (aged 4-25) facing exclusion from education, employment, and the community due to social, emotional, behavioural, or learning difficulties and disabilities. Our mission is to provide highly personalised education programs and projects that help realise the aspirations of each student.

What We Offer
  • A competitive salary: £37,738 - £47,173 per annum (pro rata for part-time), depending on experience.
  • A minimum of 30 hours per week, term-time only.
