Role Overview

This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated individual to take on a key role in our financial department. As an Accounts Receivable Specialist, you will be responsible for managing customer relationships, ensuring timely payments, and maintaining accurate records.

Key Responsibilities
  • Maintaining trusting relationships with clients through face-to-face or telephone advice.
  • Monitoring payment records and negotiating the collection of outstanding monies.
  • Enforcing terms of business as laid out in Conditions of Sale.
  • Working closely with managers to ensure clear communication and adherence to robust payment systems.
  • Conducting credit checks and resolving problems related to invoice payments.
  • Evaluating trading and cash flow of customers.
  • Managing overdue accounts while maintaining good customer relationships.
  • Balancing credit policies with a customer-focused perspective to maintain long-term relationships.
  • Reporting to management on outstanding issues and highlighting potential debtor problems.
Requirements
  • High degree of financial acumen and ability to evaluate financial risks and credit worthiness.
  • Excellent communication skills at all levels, both internally and externally.
  • Flexibility and self-motivation, adapting to changing circumstances in the agricultural industry.
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Office-based systems and willingness to learn new technology.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing circumstances.
  • Previous experience of credit control is essential, with knowledge and experience of the agricultural cycle and livestock breeding preferred.
