Accounting Compliance Specialist

We are seeking an experienced Accounting Compliance Specialist to join our team in Carlisle, working for the Edinburgh Woollen Mill and Bonmarche brands.

The successful candidate will be responsible for ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures, analyzing sales data, and resolving discrepancies.

Main responsibilities:

  • Analyze sales data to identify trends and areas for improvement.
  • Conduct thorough audits of sales data to ensure accuracy and compliance.
  • Reconcile store sales with cash, card, and voucher payments.
  • Liaise with Worldpay to address credit card charge-backs.
  • Manage manual credit card slips and arrange payment remittance.
  • Coordinate and order new equipment and data for stores.
  • Ensure accurate financial records through journal posting and suspense account reconciliation.
  • Process stock take results and investigate any discrepancies.

  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexible approach to work and ability to work effectively as part of a team.
  • Able to prioritize tasks to meet deadlines.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and Outlook.

This role offers a competitive salary of £11.50 per hour for 37 hours per week.
