Accountant - Financial Compliance Specialist

Grain Connect Limited is a growing company in the technology and telecommunications sector, backed by private equity investment. We are seeking a skilled Accountant to join our team as a Senior Accountant - Finance Transformation.

About the role

This is an exciting opportunity to work in a fast-paced environment, driving business growth through financial analysis and process improvement. You will be responsible for statutory and financial reporting compliance, working closely with the Financial Controller to develop and document scalable finance processes and controls.

  • Take on transformational projects sponsored by senior management and work directly with them on process development.
  • Prepare and review monthly balance sheet reconciliations.
  • Develop 13-week rolling cash flow forecasts and communicate weekly cash flow projections to stakeholders.
  • Liaise with tax advisors to ensure timely filing of annual tax returns.
  • Support the Financial Controller with year-end audit processes and other statutory/regulatory requirements.
  • Contribute to driving efficiencies within the Finance team and reducing reporting timelines.
  • Assist in implementing a new ERP/Finance system within the next 12 months.

The successful candidate will have an estimated salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including 25 days annual leave, up to 7% pension contribution, and an employee incentive scheme.

Requirements
  • Fully qualified accountant (ACA, ACCA).
  • Up-to-date knowledge of technical accounting, including FRS102.
  • Strong IT skills, particularly in Microsoft Excel.
