We are seeking a highly motivated and experienced Commercial & Business Development Manager to join our team at Commodities People. As a key member of our sales team, you will be responsible for selling sponsorship and partnership packages to vendor company prospects across our event portfolio.
The ideal candidate will have a proven track record of success in event sponsorship sales, with a strong ability to learn and grasp complex concepts quickly. You will be a self-starter with excellent self-management skills, a highly proactive nature, and strong verbal and written communication skills.
**Key Responsibilities:**
- Sell sponsorship and partnership packages to vendor company prospects
- Research and understand the mechanisms of the commodity and energy trading sectors
- Develop and pitch proposals to potential clients
- Closing business and managing client relationships
- Work closely with the Commercial Director to achieve sales targets
**Requirements:**
- Proven event sponsorship selling success
- Ability to learn and grasp complex concepts quickly
- Clear motivator to succeed
- Strong self-management skills and experience
- Highly proactive nature
- Fluent English speaker with strong verbal and written communication skills
**Nice to Have:**
- Degree level (or equivalent qualifications) and above
- Knowledge of energy and/or commodities markets
- Experience using Hubspot or similar CRM tools
- Understanding of sales automation tools and other sales technology
**What We Offer:**
- Competitive salary of £37,500 p/a, plus commission OTE £65k (negotiable depending on experience)
- 22 Days Annual Leave – plus 1 day for each years' employment (up to 25 days p/a)
