Job Title: Lead Children's Healthcare Professional

We are seeking a highly skilled and experienced Senior Children's Staff Nurse to lead our team at Squirrels Residential Respite Unit. This is a fixed term 12-month post, offering a unique opportunity to develop leadership skills in a dynamic and supportive environment.

About the Role
  • As a Senior Children's Staff Nurse, you will provide clinical intervention, leadership, and support to children, young people, and their families with complex health needs.
  • You will work as an autonomous practitioner, leading within the Children's short breaks service to provide holistic care and support.

The ideal candidate will have recent experience working with children and young people, or children's respite services, and possess excellent communication and leadership skills.

Key Responsibilities
  1. Provide direction and leadership to junior staff, including management supervision and clinical oversight.
  2. Assist junior staff in prioritizing, implementing, and evaluating patient care in accordance with Trust policies and procedures.
  3. Complete a holistic assessment of each child, identifying their nursing needs.
  4. Develop, implement, and evaluate comprehensive care plans and packages of care.
  5. Deliver direct patient care to meet the physical and emotional needs of the child/young person.
Salary and Benefits

The estimated salary for this role is £45,720 - £62,014 per annum, depending on experience. In addition to a competitive salary, we offer a range of benefits, including a contributory pension scheme, generous annual leave, and access to ongoing training and development opportunities.
