About the Role

This Development Officer - Community Engagement position at the Give A Duck Foundation is an exciting opportunity to develop and execute fundraising strategies that engage and motivate our community.

The estimated salary for this role is £35,000 per annum, reflecting the location in the North West and industry standards.

Responsibilities:
  • Collaborating with the Fundraising Manager to create and implement effective fundraising strategies across various channels.
  • Leads fundraising initiatives, including event planning and execution, community outreach, and corporate partnerships.
  • Builds and maintains relationships with donors, volunteers, and stakeholders to foster a sense of community and drive fundraising efforts.
  • Works closely with healthcare professionals and families to ensure alignment with our charity's objectives.
  • Plans and executes communications with donors, supporters, and the wider community to promote our mission and goals.
  • Creates engaging content, including press releases, to increase awareness and visibility for the charity.
  • Develops and shares innovative ideas to boost fundraising and volunteering efforts.
Essential Skills and Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in fundraising, sales, or volunteer management.
  • Able to research and identify potential fundraising opportunities.
  • Familiarity with social media platforms and ability to leverage them effectively.
  • Strong computer skills, particularly in MS Office and database management.
  • Excellent networking and collaboration skills, with a focus on building strong relationships.
  • Creative problem-solving and innovative thinking.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Full clean current driving license.
