The ideal candidate will have significant experience as a senior manager within a large and complex organisation, with expertise in establishing immediate credibility and good relationships with people at all levels. They will be able to manage individual and team performance effectively and introduce new developments and systems that continually improve the governance of the Trust.

We are looking for someone who understands the role of corporate governance, can place the patient at the heart of governance processes, and has a demonstrable track record of delivering high standards through teamwork and a commitment to improvement.

The successful candidate will work closely with the Director of Corporate Services and Company Secretary to ensure compliance with corporate governance regulations and support the Trust to be well-led. They will also lead and inspire managers and employees through personal example to deliver the Trust's vision, values and objectives.

As Chief Governance Officer, you will be responsible for ensuring that mechanisms are in place to embed high standards, best practice, and continuous improvement across the Trust's corporate governance and executive support functions. You will provide specialist advice in relation to corporate governance, ensure the effective management of governance bodies and processes, and provide leadership for the ongoing development of corporate governance and executive support functions within the Trust.

We offer a competitive salary of £55,000 - £70,000 per annum, depending on experience, plus a range of benefits including flexible working, 27 days annual leave, increasing to 33 with Contributory NHS Discounts, and opportunities for career progression and ongoing professional development.
