Capital Development Officer

Schools place planning is a key area of responsibility for the successful candidate, who will work closely with schools, academies, and Council officers to ensure that the local education authority meets its statutory duty. This role requires a high degree of project management expertise, as well as excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

The ideal candidate will have experience in managing capital building projects, including preparation of strategic briefs, financial monitoring, and risk management. They will also have knowledge of the Education Act and its relevant policies, as well as the practicalities around education and school place planning.

A recognised project management qualification or willingness to train is essential for this role. Estimated salary: £50,000 - £60,000 per annum.
