Care Services Manager

We are seeking a highly skilled and dedicated Care Services Manager to join our team at Brainkind, a charity that aims to improve the lives of people with brain injuries in the UK.
About Us:
Our assessment centres, rehabilitation units and hospitals use expert neurorehabilitation to support people to regain the skills they have lost. We treat people with a range of brain injuries sustained through trauma, illness, substance abuse and more to recover and meet their personal goals.

About the Role:
The successful candidate will be responsible for leading and supervising a team of Support Workers to deliver best practice and exceed quality standards of care and support. This is an excellent opportunity to join our local leadership team in driving quality improvements and cultural change.
Main Duties:
- To contribute to the provision of quality social and vocational support services for individuals with acquired brain injury and complex needs.
- To lead, supervise and develop a team of Support Workers to ensure the needs of those we support are met according to their individual support plan.
- To work closely with colleagues to achieve quality standards of care and support.
- To identify areas for improvement and implement changes to maintain high-quality services.
- To provide regular supervision and coaching to Support Workers to enhance their skills and knowledge.
- To assist with recruitment, selection and induction of new staff members.
Requirements:
- Experience of managing a team (desirable)
- NVQ / QCF level 3 HSC or willingness to work towards within 12 months
- Previous experience of working within a care/support environment
- Knowledge of current relevant legislation relating to care standards, health and safety and food hygiene
- Excellent communication skills (written and oral)
