Job Overview

A leading multi-site group of dealerships within the motor trade sector is seeking a skilled Financial Accountant to join their established finance function. As a key member of the accounting team, you will report directly to the Financial Controller and be responsible for ensuring efficient management of the accounts function and strong financial accounting and reporting throughout the group.

Main Role Duties
  • Assist in the production of the monthly management accounts in a timely and accurate manner.
  • Complete weekly and monthly balance sheet reconciliations ensuring all balances are known and are correct.
  • End to end ledger management as well as Monthly payroll.
  • Reconciliation Off Sales DOC daily.
  • Checking and verifying sales Commissions.
  • Updating daily estimates v actuals.
  • Bonus debt reconciliation and chasing up any outstanding bonus and putting query form in if required.
  • Posting and allocating bonus debts.
  • Process EMAC statements.
  • Reconcile eBay, Shopify and Amazon accounts.
  • Optimising the systems we have in place, making sure are we are using them efficiently.
  • Supervising the Purchase ledger and ensuring all invoices are processed in a timely manner and there are no debit balances.
  • Monthly Suppliers BACS Run.
  • Supervising the sales ledger and ensuring all debts are collected.
  • Hold weekly debtors meetings with the mangers.
  • To communicate effectively with department managers and assist them with any financial matters required.
  • Daily Cashflow Forecast.
  • Cover Weekly Forecast in the absence off the Financial Controller.
Requirements

To be considered for this role, you shall have proven experience in a similar role and also have experience within the motor industry. AAT Qualified, or QBE you shall have sound accounting skills and have operated within a fast paced environment. With excellent attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining data accuracy you shall have strong interpersonal skills and be able to communicate effectively across all levels of a business.
