Company Overview

The Great Fosters Hotel is a semi-rural, 4-star hotel seeking an experienced Lead Bar Manager to oversee the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar, and outdoor Terraces.

Salary

The successful candidate will receive a salary of £45,000 - £55,000 per annum, depending on experience.

Job Description

As a seasoned professional in hospitality management, you will lead a team of six permanent and casual bar staff, ensuring exceptional service standards are consistently met. Your key responsibilities will include:

  • Managing the day-to-day operations of the bars, including opening and closing procedures
  • Completing monthly beverage stocktakes and weekly ordering sheets
  • Maintaining high standards of personal presentation and hygiene among team members
  • Creating and developing seasonal cocktail and beverage menus to enhance guest experiences
  • Coaching and mentoring team members to achieve excellent performance and motivation
  • Liaising with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to develop and improve bar service offerings

Required Skills and Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you must possess:

  • A supervisory or management background within a quality bar operation, preferably in a 4-star or 5-star hotel
  • Excellent communication skills and a passion for guest service
  • The ability to host with a warm and welcoming personality
  • Smart appearance and confidence to lead the team
  • Ability to manage and motivate staff
  • Own transport due to the semi-rural location
