The Role

The successful candidate will be responsible for the smooth operation of our Cocktail Bar, Function Bar, and outdoor Terraces. Reporting to the F&B Manager, key duties include:

  • Leading a team of 6+ bar staff, providing guidance and support to ensure exceptional service delivery.
  • Conducting monthly beverage stocktakes and weekly ordering sheets to maintain optimal inventory levels.
  • Ensuring personal presentation of staff, both in terms of uniform and personal presentation/hygiene, to maintain a professional image.
  • Ensuring the bar is opened and closed according to SOPs, adhering to health and safety protocols.
  • Developing and implementing seasonal cocktail and beverage menus to drive sales and customer satisfaction.
  • Achieving Mystery Guest and AA Standards for the department, driving excellence in service delivery.
  • Leading by example in achieving and implementing hotel key standards, promoting a culture of excellence.
  • Maintaining the presentation of front and back of house areas to SOP standard, ensuring a clean and welcoming environment.
  • Ensuring effective induction and training plans for all new starters, providing a smooth onboarding process.
  • Training, coaching, and mentoring the bar team to ensure excellent performance and motivation.
  • Ensuring the team is briefed daily on special service requirements, promotions, and issues, maintaining open communication.
  • Liaising with the Restaurant and Bar Manager to develop and improve bar service offerings to guests and visitors.

Requirements;

  • 45 hours per week, various shifts over 5 days, including weekends.
  • Smart appearance and the passion and confidence to lead the team.
  • Excellent communication skills with a passion for guest service.
  • Ability to host with a warm and welcoming personality.
  • Supervisory/management experience within a quality bar operation, ideally within a 4-star/5-star rated hotel.
  • Ability to manage and motivate the team.
  • Must have own transport due to semi-rural location.
