Job Title: Education Programme Wellbeing Support Officer

Join Kent County Council as an Education Programme Wellbeing Support Officer and play a vital role in supporting the wellbeing and educational outcomes of children and young people in Kent.

About the Role

This is an exciting opportunity to join our team and make a positive impact on the lives of vulnerable learners. As an Education Programme Wellbeing Support Officer, you will work closely with children and young people to deliver personalized wellbeing and educational activities, helping them to build resilience, self-confidence, and emotional regulation skills.

Key Responsibilities
  • Deliver one-to-one wellbeing and educational sessions to children and young people in a variety of locations across Kent.
  • Plan and deliver personalized activities that meet the individual needs of each child or young person.
  • Work collaboratively with teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure a holistic approach to supporting children and young people.
  • Use a range of strategies and tools to support children and young people in managing their emotions and behaviors.
  • Contribute to the development and implementation of the Education Programme's wellbeing and educational activities.
Requirements

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • Excellent interpersonal skills, including the ability to communicate effectively with children, young people, and professionals.
  • Experience of working with children and young people with emotional and behavioral difficulties.
  • Knowledge of child development and wellbeing principles.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Full UK driving license (or willingness to obtain).
